In honor of France's independence day and our French neighbors, a few of us gathered for Pastis and Bacchi Ball. Bastille day brings back fond memories of when I waited tables at Le Metro French Restaurant in Daly City, California. Between the chef, dishwasher and myself we would crank out about 4o-50 dinners on Bastille Day. It was chef / owner Joseph Garcia (French Algerian) who encouraged me to pursue my studies in hotel and restaurant management. Thank you Chef and Viva la France! Bastille Day a la Todos Santos . . .
